322Landfill Gas for Energy:Its Status and Prospect in IndonesiaIndonesia, a nation with more than 230 million population, is the world's largest archipelagic state located between Asia and Australia continents. In 2000, the production of municipal solid waste (MSW) or refuse in 384 Indonesian cities was about 80,235 tons or 320,940 m3 per day. Refuse generation is predicted to increase five times by 2020. Waste composition is influenced by external factors, such as geographical location, the population?s standard of living, energy source, and weather. Generally, a high percentage of organic matter of refuse is between 61 and 72 per cent by weight. The presence of paper, plastic, glass, and metal ranges from 0.4 to 13 per cent. The current handling of refuse in Indonesia is mostly used the disposal land of unhealthy landfill in the form of open dumping. Around 450 units of open dumping have been in operation in Indonesian big cities. These open dumping landfills cause some problems ranging from odor to health problems. Center of Environmental Technology, BPPT has been preparing to carry out landfill mining both for its compost and gas. The gas sampling must be done first before it is pumped for energy use. The gas is suggested to be utilized for generating energy, for example for electricity. Initial test indicated that the composition of methane gas (CH4) is around 50%, which is a good enough for energy generation. If the percentage of burnable gas is too low to be used for generating electric energy, it might be mixed with high content of heating value of natural gas (dual fuel system). This paper will present the conditions of open dumping of landfill in Indonesia, and the status and the distribution of its containing gas. 323Level Kontaminasi Senyawa Organotin Di Produk Seafood Dari Indonesia.Contamination level of TBT and DBT in seafood products such as fish and mussels collected from several locations in Indonesia were compared with Indonesian Tolerable Average Residue Levels (TARL). TARL were calculated based on the Tolerable Daily Intake (TDI) of TBT and the seafood consumption of the average consumer in Indonesia. TARL for TBT in seafood from Indonesia is 360 ng/g per day for a person with an average body weight of 60 kg. Level concentration of TBT and TBT+DBT in fish and mussels from Indonesia still below the TARL for Indonesia. However these concentration levels have been increased to those from 1995 and indicating field ecotoxicological impact of TBT has been observed as occurring gastropod imposex in Eastern Indonesia. The antitumor properties of lentinus are attributed to the presence of polysaccharide lentinan. Lentinan can be utilized as reducing diabetes, and effective to againts influenza virus.
Usually, Albazia falcataria sawdust were utilized by mushroom growers in Indonesia. Optimum temperature for shiitake growth is 24oC and pH4.7 ? 4.8 (mycelium phase), 20oC and pH 4.2 ? 4.6.(fruit body phase). The elevation for best cultivation is 800 ? 1000 m above sea level, humudity almost 95 ? 100%. If used log system, shiitake will be harvested after 2-3 months fruiting bodies were produced. Clean water supply is still a very difficult problem for small villages, especially in County Ende, NTT. Three villages, ie Detukeli, Ndetundora I and Ndetundora II, are the examples. The real problem is the settlement living in the area which do not have enough potential of water resources.There are some potential surface water resources, but they are located more than 3 km from the village settlement. One of the potential rivers is so separated by a big hill, that the people have to walk for a long distance to reach the clean water resource. To solve the problem, it is very important to develop a transmition piping, including the distribution net and a hidram water pumping system. To construct a complete water supply system needs a lot of investation. 330Masalah Polutan Mikro Di Dalam Air Minum Dan Cara PenanggulanganyaWater quality can affect human health in various ways such as through breeding of vectors, presence of pathogenic protozoa, helminths, bacteria and viruses, or through inorganic and organic chemicals. While traditional concern has been with pathogens and gastro-intestinal diseases, chemicals pollutants in drinking water supplies have in many instances reached proportion, which affect human health, especially in cases of chronic exposure. A number of common contaminants in drinking water, arising from industrial pollution or, from as by-products of chlorination such as Trihalomethanes, chlorophenols or others chlorinated compounds, have been shown to cause cancer. 331Measurement Of Selected Pripincal Organic Hazardous Consituent (POHC) In Cement KlinThis paper presents the measurement of a selected principal organic hazardous constituent (POHC) injected into cement kiln that burned waste derived synthetic fuel. The POHC selected for the test was tetrachloroethane (more commonly known as perchloroethylene, or just PERC). The conditions of the kiln tested were maintained at its normal operation.The results will be used to calculate a destruction and removal efficiency (DRE) capability of that cement kiln. Thus, the test was assumed to be able to simulate the performance of a cement kiln acting as a waste combustor in destructing toxic waste. The test protocol was based upon the full set of procedures mandated by United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) designed to demonstrate sufficient destruction of organic constituents, by demonstrating a 99.9999% DRE. It was found that all measurement data of POHC resulted DRE values higher than the limit of 99.9999%. (Sddp) Dengan Menggunakan ?Peak Discharge Dinamyc System (SDDP) is a program which apply to calculate peak of discharge a catchment area with area and rain fall intensity as parameters, with limited to maximal 50 km2 area and 100 mm/hour rain fall intensity. This program is develop by using System Dinamyc Stella version 9.0.2. Steps taken are, first by calculate runoff cooeficient use Bridge-Branch method and then calculate peak discharge with rational method. 336Mempelajari Karakter Flow Di Atas Sistem Orografik Jakarta, Bogor, Puncak Untuk Transport ?Simulating transport seeding agent using AgI tracer from GBG-Tower at Citeko (Bogor area) is presented during period of 17 ? 26 December 2008. Character flow over low mountain ranges from Jakarta (0-50 m) to Puncak (1000 ? 1500m) has been analyses using Froude number. Increasing elevation from Jakarta to Puncak build orographic system and caused flow lifted by topographic contour and building some orographic cloud there. Result of analyses found that flow over system orographic Jakarta,Bogor,Puncak have character low kinetic energy and flow can not reach the highest barrier. With typical flow velocity ranges from 4.6 to 11.4 m/s, flows only reached 700m elevation of barrier. Flow can be reaches the highest elevation if have velocity 25 m/s, the uncommon velocity in this region. During day time (morning to afternoon), typical flow velocity is 6.1 to 11.4 m/s and its reduce during nght day with typical velocity 4.6 ? 9.9 m/s. Cloud over Citeko have base with various heght, generally between 100 and 600 m. 339Mengamati Statistik Network dengan netstatPada sebuah LAN (Local Area Network), seorang superuser (root) atau administrator secara rutin perlu mengamati dan memeriksa jalannya network pada LAN tersebut. Terkadang karena sesuatu hal yang bersifat fisik, network tidak dapat berfungsi sebagaimana mestinya.
