201Uji Kemampuan Bakteri Termofil Kompos Dlm Menguraikan Poly(3-Hydroxybutyrate) & KopolimernyaThe primary aim of this project were to isolate the termophilic bateria from compost and to test their capability in degrading of Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) and its copolymer (P(HB-co-5%HV), P(HB-co-8%HV), P(HB-co-12%HV)) using of polymer overlay methode. Testing of their capability was done in pH 8,0 and temperature of 55oC and 60oC. Fifteen isolates of thermophilic bacteria have been isolated and can be classified into 4 groups based on the profile of their growth rate, clear zone formation, and capability of PHB degradation. 202Identifikasi Populasi Gastropoda Air Tawar Di Waduk Saguling Dan SekitarnyaThis research has been carried out in Saguling, Jawa Barat. The aims of the research were to study the population of fresh water gastrophod and its ecological aspects. The research was done at three habitats which were the dam, paddy fields and ponds in three location : South Inlet, East Inlet and West Outlet of Saguling dam. It has been found 6 species of gastrophod which were Pomacea caniculata, Bellamya javanica, Lymnaea rubiginosa, Indoplanorbis exustus, Gyraulus convexiuscslus and Melanoides tuberculata. In all the habitats the density of species of Pomacea caniculata, Bellamya javanica and Lymnaea rubiginosa were relatively higher than others. While the highest dominantion index of gastrophod were at habitat of paddy fields in all locations and at habitat of ponds in East Inlet and West Outlet locations. Pomacea caniculata, Bellamya javanica and Lymnaea rubiginosa were dominant at habitat of pady fields and ponds. Furthermore, the highest gastrophod diversity index was at habitat of dam in South Inlet and West Outlet locations. All the gastrophod species were found in a group. 203Pengolahan Air Minum Sumur Gali Untuk Rumah Tangga Secara Aerasi, Filtrasi Dan DesinfeksiWater is the main needed for human being. The increasing effort of general health and healthy life-environment is influenced by quality and quantity of water. Therefore, we need to process water with some methods. In fact, the ADKL (Analisis dampak kesehatan lingkungan / environmental health impact analysis) study held in 2001, indicate that water quality from dig-well in Moyudan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, was below the standard of pure-water quality. It is important to complete the pure-water needed from dig-well with simple model processing from local resources by apropriate technologies in order to increase the water quality in household. Structure of the process, consist of : aeration that principally give chemical oxidation, filtration for filtering dirty material and disinfection for killing the microbes.The aim for this research was to understand the increasing of water quality from dig-well in Sumbersari, moyudan, sleman, yogyakarta on parameter of E. coli, nitrite, nitrate and sulphate, after processed by aeration, filteration and disinfection model with variation of debit : 1, 2 and 3 liter/minute.The research was experimental type with pre-test and post-test group design. Location of the research was in Sumbersari village, moyudan, sleman, yogyakarta. The independent variable was dig-well processing using aeration, filtration and disinfection model with variation of debit, while, the dependent variable were the decreasing/increasing of E coli, Nitrite, nitrate and sulphate.The result showed that after processed, E coli and nitrite was decreased, while Nitrate and sulphate was increased. Value of the parameter was below the standard. 204Oven Destilator Pengolah Sampah Plastik Ramah Lingkungan?Up to now, the majority of people treat plastic waste by burning and disposing it directly to the surrounding environment. The burning of the waste causes air pollution due to toxic compound called dioxin which is harmful for human health. Meanwhile, the dumping of plastic waste into water bodies can causing some negative effects such as the clogging of water duct or river which may lead to flooding. Annually, the number of plastic bag used can reach 500 million ? 1 billion, which is equal to 10 fold wrapping of earth surface (Nitizen, 2008). The best handling of plastic waste are using reuse or recycle methods which are environmentally friendly and at the same time can gain economical value1). The study is aimed to: 1) understand the capability of oven distillator in processing plastic waste into plastic grain and liquid smoke, 2) understand the influence of liquid smoke towards wood durability, 3) understand the price of the oven distillator and the corresponding break even point (BEP).The study was an experimental one and employed pre test and post test with control group design, and simultaneously assessing equipment?s production capacity. The data was analyzed descriptively and analytically with Anova test and t-test at 95% level of significance. The results show that oven distillator capable for processing 97,3% of plastic waste into plastic grain, while the rest was converted into liquid smoke. The liquid smoke was proved affect wood preservation (anova test, p<0.001), and have similar quality compared with varnish use (t-test, p=0,764). The cost analysis shows that the distillatory raise economical value of the waste by 217,66%, and The BEP would be reached in 68 days if 12 kg plastic is processed daily. 205Pengolahan Leacheate Tercemar Pb Sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Pencemaran Lingkungan TPAWaste as one of human activity products should be managed in order to minimize its negative impacts to the environment and human health. Environmental pollution will also take place due to waste which contains hazardous substances, such as used battery, accu and broken TL bulbs. Production of those goods uses plublum (Pb) in its process, so that the Pb will be carried later by the leachate flow to the environment.
This work was an experiment with pre and post tests design which also used reference group as a control towards Pb parameter. Statistical analyzes was carried out using Anova and T tests with the degree of confidence of 95%. Result of the anova test of reference group with a variation of detention time was probability of about 0.293, whereas the experimental group resulted a probability of 0.005. The T-test for both reference and experimental groups with a variation of detention time gave different values of Pb parameter where the different with the probability of 0.000.
The result showed that concentration of Pb in leachate decreased after it was treated using alum and lime. the significant reduction is at leaving time of 3 hours, i.e. 798.3 mg/L (75.7%). Therefore, it ca be concluded that treatment using alum and lime can be applied to reduce concentration of Pb in a lechate

206Pengolahan Lindi (Leachate) dengan Model Coagulation-Biofer UnaerobicLeachate, especially from the landfill, is a pollutant that can harm human health and pollute the environment including aquatic biota, because the leachate contains various chemicals both organic and inorganic substances and also pathogen bacteria. Laboratory test by Department of Health ? Yogyakarta (2001) showed that leachate from landfill had Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) of 1032 mg/liter in which this was much higher than the limit allowed (BOD = 150 mg/liter. In order to reduce BOD in leachate, a treatment is needed. In this experiment a treatment to reduce BOD in leachate was carried out by applying coagulation and anaerobic bio-filtration with the time of 1, 2, and 3 hours. Evaluation of the tests was conducted using pre-test and post-test with control design which analysis was made descriptive and analytically using T-test with the error of about 5% (? = 0,05).
Results of the experiment indicated that there was a tendency of BOD reduction of about 0.9% - 1.1% for the control samples, whereas the BOD reduction for leachate attained 82.3% -90.5%.
Based on the T-Test, the probability result was 0.000 (p< ? =0.05). This means that there is a significant difference in BOD reduction between control samples and leachate. In other words leachate treatment using coagulation ? anaerobic bio-filtration can be taken as an alternative process to reduce BOD

Juanda, Das Citarum, Jawa BaratDengan adanya kemajuan bidang industri dan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk mengakibatkan semakin meningkatnya jumlah kebutuhan akan air, sehingga menjadikan air sebagai sumberdaya yang perlu dikelola dengan sistem pengelolaan yang tepat. Sepanjang sungai Citarum bagian hulu dan tengah dibangun 3 buah waduk yaitu Saguling, Cirata dan Ir.Juanda. Dalam hal pengelolaan air waduk Ir.Juanda yang terletak di daerah Jatiluhur, oleh pemerintah diserahkan kepada Perum Otorita Jatiluhur (POJ), terhitung mulai tanggal 23 Mei 1970. Dalam pengelolaan air waduk, sampai dengan tahun 1999, pihak POJ sudah 8 kali mengadakan kerjasama dengan UPT Hujan Buatan, BPPT untuk mengadakan kegiatan hujan buatan dengan tujuan menambah volume air waduk. 209Studi Efek Penggunaan Biodisel Terhadap Emisi ada Sektor Transportasi di JakartaBiodiesel has been proven by world wide numerous studies as an environmental friendly alternative diesel fuel. Biodiesel is essentially sulfur free. Engines fueled by biodiesel emit significantly fewer particulates, hydrocarbons and less carbon monoxide than that operating conventional diesel fuel. The maximum utilization of biodiesel in Indonesia could improve the air quality level in major cities especially in Jakarta. The objective of this study is to assess the effect of biodiesel utilization in transportation sector to the air pollution level in Jakarta. The targeted emission in the study are carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC), sulfur oxides (SOx) and particulate matter (PM) from vehicle sources. The scenarios used in this study are the utilization of B10 in 2010 and increased to B20 in 2015, B30 in 2020 and B50 in 2025 as an automotive diesel fuel substitution in Jakarta. The result showed that the utilization of biodiesel could improve the air quality level in Jakarta, especially on SO2 and PM emission. By using B10 in 2010, the emission of SO2 and PM will decrease 7,95% (2.070 ton) and 15,62% (1.680 ton) respectively compared to utilizing of pure fossil automotive diesel oil. The highest emission improvement was shown on B50 in 2025 scenario. 210Pengetahan Dan Pemanfaatan Tumbuahan Obat di Sabang-Pulau Weh,Nangroe Aceh DarussalamThe understanding on medicinal herbs and its usefulness by local people are very common in Indonesia. Most of the ethnics utilize it, without exception in Sabang - Weh Island, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) province. To explore what kinds of plant which use as medicinal herbs, research was conducted in Iboih, Sabang, NAD. As a result at least 113 plant species, belong to 85 genera and 55 families were recorded as medicinal herbs. It was found that medicinal herbs in research site was employed either as a single or as compound, which contains some materials. It is recognized as 44 medicinal compound (ramuan obat 44), eventhough it does not always consist of 44 plants. Occasionally, this 44 medicinal compound is well known as ramuan daun segala daun. Medicinal herbs which are used by Iboih people are terrestrial orchids, gerangsang rimaung (Anoectochylus setaceus) and abeung - abeung (Oroxylum indicum). 212Pengaruh Pemberian Ransum Dari Limbah Jerami Padi Dan Onggok Melalui ?Decreasing of land for agriculture pushed the exploiting of agricultural and industrial by-products for feedstuffs. Rice straw and ?onggok? represent the by-products that very potential to use for feedstuffs. However these by-products have low digestion value for livestock. Therefore processing of the by products before use is essensial to increase its quality. The experiment was conducted for 7 weeks to investigate the effects of feeding diets containing rumen liquor treated-rice straw or rumen liquor treated onggok on the performance of local male sheeps. Parameters measured were feed intake (g/head/day), weight gain (g/head/day), and feed conversion. Data from randomized complete block design were analized using ANOVA and if its showed signifi cantly different contras ortogonal test was used. The result showed that the treatments signifi cantly (P<0,05) affected feed intake, weight gain, and feed conversion. R2 and R3 treatments signifi cantly (P<0,01) increased feed intake compared with R4 and R1 treatment, while between R2 and R3 treatments, and R1 and R4 treatments were not different. 213Pemanfaatan Limbah Kulit Singkong, Kulit Pisang Dan Kulit Kentang Sebagai Bahan Pakan Ternak ?Indonesia as an agricultural country have many agriculture waste that usefull for feed ingredients, contained high energy but low protein. The constraints from the use of those feed ingredients are that they have low nutrient content, low economic value as feed, unavailable continously, hard to handle, need certain facility, need high transportation cost, low storage periode and high toxin contamination. Microbiology can handle those constraints by the use of microbes, which recently used in feed industry. This reseach have goal for improving protein contain of cassava peel, bananas peel and potatos peel which fermented by Aspergillus niger. The methodology done by solid fermentation as ORTSOM method and IRCHA method.Cassava peel, bananas peel and potatos peel sterilized by boiling and nitrogen analyzed by Kjeldahl method. The result show that protein contains of cassava peel, bananas peel and potatos peel increase significantly.
