221Kajian Penelolaan Sumber Daya Air untuk Aplikasi konsep Ecopark pada Taman Kota yang Berukuran BesarEnvironmental problems which happen in Jakarta metropolitan city, have already come into a very critical condition. All surface water, such as rivers, swamps and small lakes, have extremely been continuing polluted. Even ground water, not only the quality is getting worse, but also the quantity is decreasing. Otherwise many swamps and small lakes have been changing into a domestic settlement or commercial estate. One of few alternatives to cope with the problems is to manage all gardens in Jakarta by applying a new concept ?Ecopark? which makes an optimizing the ecological function of a park. The concept is based on the aim to make a friendly garden which is a part of green open space. Through this application, especially for big gardens with the area 5.000m2 - 10.000m2, the water resource potential will increase and its conservation will be continuously guaranteed. Garden Cornel Simanjuntak dan Utama Raya are the two examples of big city gardens which have not been managed yet by the concept Ecopark. This activity explained how the two gardens have to be properly managed by the concept. 222Kajian Aspek Kebijakan Dan Regulasi Dalam Masalah Pengelolahan Limbah Cair Industri Rumah TanggaWater pollution because of the domestic wastewater produced by the local community and their home industries in a big city, such as Jakarta, has already been inviting many environmental problems since the last ten years. Based on the research done by Directorat General Cipta Karya, Public Works Department RI, domestic wastewater in Jakarta delivers 75% of all pollutants in surface water pollution. Therefore many things should be done to solve those water pollution problems. A lot of environmentally related rules have established in Indonesia, but they are not able to be optimally implemented because of some weaknesses of the environmental rule contents. One of the solving options is to create a perfect regulation system for wastewater management. The laws for home industry wastewater management, especially in big cities, have to be perfectly completed, mainly in the field of standard, operation and procedure, the wastewater quality standard, the adequate and qualified technology, the landscape and building planning and the institutional coordination. If the all environmental regulations are well synchronized, the law enforcement will be simply implemented. The negative impacts are particularly caused by the chemical compounds used in the conventional process of the leather tannery, such as lime, sodium sulphide, chrome, etc.

Enzyme is protein compound from biological system, that acts as catalyst (bio-catalyst). Enzyme can be used to replace partly or complete the chemicals used in tannery processes. Recently, micro-organisms are considered a appropriate device to produce enzymes. Furthermore, it is necessary to select potential micro-organisms for enzyme production.

?Exolite?, that is first enzyme produced in pilot scale in Indonesia, proved to reduce significantly pollutant in waste of leather tannery industries. Therefore, the development of enzyme industry in Indonesia is needed to be supported.

224Sedimentasi dan Dampaknya Pada DPS Citarum Hulu.Pemanfaatan air dan lahan dan pengembangan suatu daerah aliran sungai selalu menyebabkan berbagai masalah teknis dan lingkungan. Begitu pula dengan lebih mendalami masalah proses erosi dan sedimentasi yang terjadi, merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam memecahkan masalah dasar yang berkaitan dengan tingginya tingkat erosi dan sedimentasi dalam suatu daerah aliran sungai. Proses sedimentasi yang komplek agar dapat dipecahkan, untuk itu sungai harus dipandang dari berbagai unit kelompok yang terintegrasi dalam suatu ekosistem. Dengan pendekatan pengukuran dan monitoring, serta penggabungan dengan pendekatan sistem model spasial dapat dipecahkan masalah yang timbul di per sungaian dan waduk, ehingga antisipasi terhadap berkurangnya umur waduk dapat diatasi. Dengan prediksi erosi dan sedimentasi secara spasial dapat diperoleh gambaran yang lebih jelas daerah-daerah mana saja yang terkena tingkat erosi-sedimentasi yang tinggi, sehingga daerah mana saja dalam DAS yang perlu konservasi dan prioritas penanggulangannya. 225Spasial Satistik untuk Estimasi dan Permalan Produksi Pertanian Studi KasusApplied Study on Agricultural Production estimate and Forecast by using Area Frame Sampling in Indramayu and Subang Districts is based on the successfulness of ?Area Frame Design? development for the whole Java Island. A brief explanation of design is presented to refresh its basic idea. The methodology of the study is discussed and the mathematical formulation to estimate rice refers to direct expansion approach is presented. The main aim of the study is to prove that area frame sampling is reliable to implement for rice production estimate and forecast. For that purpose, sample segments were extracted and inside the segment crop cutting was conducted. Three times ground survey were conducted to map rice growing stage and crop cutting. The analysis of ground data for both yield and harvest area was done then production estimate was derived. Furthermore, harvest area forcast for next three months after survey-1 was also conducted. 226Ethnobotany Study Of Seaweed Diversity And Its Utilization In Warambadi ?This paper reports the ethnobotany study of seaweed diversity in Warambadi ? Panguhalodo areas of East Sumba District, the island of Sumba. The study recorded 19 genera of 54 species of seaweed, which were utilized as food or edible seaweed. The group consisted of 17 species of green algae, 17 species of red algae, and 20 species of brown algae. The study also reported that 18 genera of 38 species were traditionally utilized for medicinal purposes as herbal medicine. The herbal species consisted of 7 species of green algae, 13 species of red algae, and 18 species of brown algae. Seaweed is traditionally consumed as food in various forms: raw as salad and vegetable, as pickle with sauce of allspice or with vinegar, as relish or sweetened jellies and also cooked for vegetable soup. As herbal medicine seaweed is usually used for traditional cosmetics, as antipyretic and antiseptic, as vermifuges, and treatments for cough and asthma, hemorrhoid, nosebleed and boils, goiter and scrofula, stomach ailments and urinary diseases. Indigenous knowledge on seaweed still exist and are continually employed by people living in particular areas such as the Sumba and Sabu ethnic groups. 228Etnobotani Masyarakat Dayak Ngaju Di Daerah Timpah Kalimantan TengahThe Ngaju, a Dayak tribe of Central Kalimantan, depend extensively on surrounding natural resources for their food, medicines, cosmetics, construction materials, and other uses. A field study was conducted amongst the Ngaju using direct observation and interviewing key persons including community leaders, traditional healers and local families. Based on the data collected in the field, we recorded 107 plant species belonging to 51 families and 86 genera, used as food (56 species), medicine (46 species), cosmetics (4 species), building material (9 species), and other uses (9 species). Several species with potential economic value will be discussed in this paper, and local customs relating to traditions agriculture knowledge will be elaborated. The potency of the plants in connecting to the culture of the Dayak Ngaju will be also be discussed in this paper. 231Pengaruh Garam Nacl Terhadap Kinerja Proses Biologis AnaerobikAnaerobic treatment of synthetic wastewater with a high NaCl content was investigated for its effect on the process. The synthetic wastewater, including NaCl up to 40 g/l, was treated anaerobically by draw-and-fill method at a treatment temperature of 37? and volumetric loading of rate TOC of 1 g/l/d. TOC removal efficiency and rate of gas evolution rate gradually decreased as salt content increased, although stable operation was maintained. TOC removal efficiency remained high at concentration of NaCl up to 20 g/l, although it fell to 82 % at 30 g NaCl/l. The gas yield at 10, 20 and 30 g NaCl/l were 1.35; 1.10 and 1.00 l/g-TOC loaded, which corresponded to 96; 83 and 78% of that without NaCl, respectively. The content of methane in the evolved gas was 50 to 55% throughout the experiment. 232Perawatan Sistem Intercooler Untuk Penghematan Energi Pada Industri PupukThe option of cleaner production of energy efficiency in the good maintenance on energy saving one of them was in the system of the water cooler from the intercooler system..The process unit of ammonia, urea production and the power house in the fertilizer industry needed 600 m3/jam cooling water approximately 60 % the requirement for cooling water from all over the requirement for the factory (reached 900 m3/jam).Several critical heat exchangers that use cooling water for process cooling, abnormally high process-out temperatures were noted. For example, the intercoolers (124CA & 124CB) of the Syn Gas Compressor (103J) are operating with Syn Gas outlet temperatures of 63?C and 51?C respectively, versus a target of 38.6?C. This excessive temperature will affect the performance of the downstream Chiller Plant and cause abnormally high-energy consumption. The improvement of system and equipment was carried out against intercooler 124CA in the fertilizer industry as well as was done by the replacement and maintenance that produced the decline temperature from 63 o C to 52 o C. 236Natrium Silikat Sebagai Bahan Penghambat Api Aman LingkunganThis research aims at investigating the effectiveness of fire retardant siliceous based materials which is made of natrium silicate (Na2SiO3.2H2O). Factors related to selection of mixed composition with respect to fire such as the easiness in processing or coating as well as the optimum weight of coating per m2 are investigated. Experimental method is used in this research with equipment used in this experiment include Fire Propagation Test Apparatus (based on JIS A 1321, 1994, # 605). Experiment is done on Borneo and Red Meranti Wood and comparison is done on the result of test undertaken on these types of wood which are treated with siliceous based fire retardant materials. Investigation also reveals that the more natrium silicate absorbed by the wood will increase the temperature rise (td ?) and smoke developed index. Experiment on mixture composition of 1 : 1 on both woods has proven it. The best mixture of siliceous based fire retardant against fire while ensuring ease workmanship is under the ratio 7 : 1 up to 10 : 1, with the layer optimum weight per m2 is approximately 0.7 kg. 237Distribusi Substrat di dalam Fixed Bed Reactor ( FBR )Fixed Bed Reactor was the biological wastewater treatment reactor that was one of the Cakung Slaughterhouse (RPH Cakung) wastewater treatment. Biological wastewater treatment process in principle was process use of the microorganism to degrade the wastewater pollutant, where the wastewater will be changed into gas and the particle bio-solid that enabled to be sediment. The capability of the microorganism degrading this pollutant was influenced by various factor, some among them were the distribution of the substrate (microorganism group) in the reactor. The distribution of this substrate could be known by measuring the value of pH and organic content as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) or Total Solid (TTS). Considering the importance of the parameter then must be keep so that both of them, did not exceed limits that were allowed in the FBR operation. This paper was discussed by the condition for the distribution of the substrate in various hydraulic retention time (HRT). Analysis was held for the operation with the up-flow system. Results of the research could be known that the value of the pH and TS in various HRT relatively constant, that is between 6.93 ? 7.15 (for the pH) and 0.32% - 0.56% (for TS). This value is still in limits that were allowed. Base on as mentioned above, it is tried to process it with coagulation and flocculation use Aluminum sulfate and PAC which is added to wastewater with several doses variation of Alumunium sulfate: (100, 200, 300. 250) ppm and PAC with doses (50, 100, 150, 200) ppm. Experiment result shows that the experiment which use Aluminum sulfate and PAC as coagulant could give a good quality of processing and suitable with the threshold of wastewater.
