81Aplikasi Sig Untuk Penetapan Kesesuaian Wilayah Penerapan Mekanisasi Pertanian Tanaman PanganThe study is the preliminary research aiming to apply the usefulness of the GIS system for classifying suitability of region to the agricultural mechanization. Simple basic theory of GIS and classification of agricultural mechanization were presented. Nine physical and non-physical parameters as limiting factors were defined and a weight of each parameter was calculated in order to know how far its effect to the agricultural mechanization practice. Data coming from several types, ie: numeric, vector and remote sensing (raster) were prepared to support the process. Two ordoes consisting of five classes were employed to extract suitability classification of each District in Jawa Barat dan Banten Province. The results show that ten districts are classified into suitable for applying agricultural mechanization, and the rest ten districts are classified into not suitable. Depending on the dynamic character of limiting factor, suitability class would possibly change along the time. 83Peranan Tumbuhan Liar Dalam Konservasi Serangga Penyerbuk Ordo HymenopteraThe role of the wild plants in relation to the conservation of the Indonesian insect
pollinators was studied at several areas of Java. Three of direct observation
methods were applied: study of biodiversity and observation on the wild fl owers
and the insect pollinators as well, and the behaviour of the insects. The fl owers
of wild plants were relatively smaller and paler in colour, however they were more
attractive to insect pollinators than cultivated plants. Flowering time of the wild
plants was mostly during wet seasons, contrary to that of the cultivated plants
which was mostly during dry seasons. Our observation indicated that these wild
plants are the food resources of insect pollinators during wet seasons. Observation data support the importance of wild plants to supply food to insect pollinators during wet seasons. Management of wild and cultivated plant environments is necessary to conserve insect pollinators.

84Kandungan Zat Hara Fosfat Pada Musim Barat dan Musim Timur di Teluk Harun, LampungThe result of phosphate analysis in Hurun Bay Lampung described that concentration phosphate in the West season was greater than in the East season. In the February 2003, phosphate concentration was 9.51?1.54 ?g/L while in July 2003 around 6.32?3.8 ?g/L. The phosphate dissociation and phosphate run-off from land through river may increase phosphate concentration in West season. The other result shows that phosphate concentration in the surface was higher than in the bottom layer in the all season.phosphate, nutrient, eutroficationArif Dwi Santoso

86Pencemaran Air Dan Strategi PenanggulangannyaThe rapid growth of population in developing country causes environmental contamination by increasing significantly pollution load in river and other water body. It needs efficient and effective strategy to overcome contamination in certain areas. Technical identification of pollution source and its influence to environmental quality is important to should be known and socialized to community. Land use to is important to get priority and should be managed consistently environmentally sound, beside solid waste and domestic wastewater. Law enforcement also should be applied, especially to company or industry which significantly gives contribution to environmental degradation. Environmental restoration need fund, so government as regulator need partner from private to overcome environmental problem. Environmentally based industries and services is needed to be developed as government counterpart, but up to now the development of them retarded caused by non competitive interest of commercial bank. Environmental fund should be collected from polluter through regulated mechanism and In the next future environmental bank should possible manage the fund and finance environmental industry and services to overcome environmental pollution, in this case government act as regulator only.Pencemaran air, pengelolaan, sumber daya air, strategi penanggulanganArie Herlambang

Modifikasi Cuaca
The process of weather modification to increase rainfall amount can be done continuously when the weather condition is favorable and can be used to maintain DAM water level especially during the dry season. By maintaining the DAM water level with the weather modification technology the environmental balance between supply and demand will be sustained. To reduce the rainfall intensity in order to lessen the impact of flood with the weather modification technology by early precipitation, which eventually lessen the intensity and the accumulated rainfall amount. The application of the weather modification technology to clear the atmosphere due to the forest fire and land clearing activities can be used to area where fires is still ongoing. The use of that technology not only clears the atmosphere but also allows convection processes to happen because the cloud development was hindered by thick smoke from fires.penyemaian, bahan parameterCh. 90Keberlanjutan Fungsi Ekologis Sebagai Basis Penataan Ruang Kota BerkelanjutanThe pattern of the land, natural resources and environment used will influence the sustainability of a city. Nowadays, many cities in Indonesia have been developed without consideration of ecological aspects. The development of built areas that tends to be sprawling and convert natural environments such as forests and other green areas, wetlands, and lakes that have ecological functions has been causing the increasing environmental problems such as floods, groundwater shortage, and micro climate change in many cities. Spatial planning that considers the sustainability of ecological functions is a strategic tool to manage the city?s land allocation so as to achieve sustainable cities. However, most spatial planning products of cities have been made without the support of ecological data and analysis in the planning process. The paper discusses the importance of maintaining the ecological spaces as a part of an urban ecosystem and decribes the concept of sustainable spatial planning, including data and analysis should be prepared in order to integrate ecological consideration in the sustainable spatial planning processtata ruang, kota berkelanjutan, fungsi ekologis.Mukaryanti, Alinda Medrial Zain, Nawa Suwedi
91Pengolahan Limbah Cair Industri MinumanThe organic concentration of soft drink factory waste water has not high organic concentration, therefore one of the alternatives of the treatment technology is using aerobic system : activated sludge. On this observation can be seen that the system can be used as waste water treatment for soft drink that is not so high in COD contain and the criteria parameters design can be fulfilled by process parameters during operation the system. The parameters that are not fulfill the design parameters is caused by the shock loading of toxic material or by the high loading rate of substrate of waste water. Based on parameter criteria as mention above, the efficiency that can be reached of this process is about 61,22%Activated sludge, softdrinkIndriyanti
92Perawatan Sistem Intercooler Untuk Penghematan Energi Pada Industri PupukThe option of cleaner production of energy efficiency in the good maintenance on energy saving one of them was in the system of the water cooler from the intercooler system..The process unit of ammonia, urea production and the power house in the fertilizer industry needed 600 m3/jam cooling water approximately 60 % the requirement for cooling water from all over the requirement for the factory (reached 900 m3/jam).Several critical heat exchangers that use cooling water for process cooling, abnormally high process-out temperatures were noted. For example, the intercoolers (124CA & 124CB) of the Syn Gas Compressor (103J) are operating with Syn Gas outlet temperatures of 63?C and 51?C respectively, versus a target of 38.6?C. This excessive temperature will affect the performance of the downstream Chiller Plant and cause abnormally high-energy consumption. The improvement of system and equipment was carried out against intercooler 124CA in the fertilizer industry as well as was done by the replacement and maintenance that produced the decline temperature from 63 o C to 52 o C. This decline could be done by saving of energy of cooling water reached 2.62 MMBTU/hour so as to be able to reduce the disposal of greenhouse gases through to 422.293,733 tonne CO2/the year.Fertilizer industry, Cooling water systemDjoko Padmono
93Peran Mikroba Aerob dalam Pengolahan Limbah Cair TekstilThe objective of this study is to understand the performance of microbial degradation activities in textile wastewater treatment unit. Result of BOD, COD, DO and microbial measurement indicated that DO concentration in activated sludge wastewater treatment unit was < 0.5 mg/L, ratio of BOD and COD was >1.99 and microbial density was around 1 x 107 ind/mL.
Based on parameter measured, firstly, the DO concentration is not enough for biodegradation process but this condition still work for biofloculation process; secondly, The BOD and COD ratio is indicating that wastewater compound could not fully degrade, eventhough the microbial density in the wastewater unit is in normal number.

97Teknologi Pengelolaan Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Yang IdealThe number of crude palm oil factory (CPOF) in Indonesia has already increased rapidly in the last fifteen years. In the same period, expansion of the palm plantation has also been continuing and growing, but unfortunately the accelerated growth is not same as the development of the wastewater treatment technology and its proper applications. Many CPOF in Indonesia have not a good wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). In fact they cause terribly environmental problems, especially related to surface water pollution. BOD content in the effluent of most CPOF is between 35,000 to 46,000 ppm and in the effluent of their WWTP it is much more than 100 ppm. Therefore it needs to propose a treatment system which can guarantee to reduce all pollutants till a value matching with the environmental quality standard. Based on the research result assessed by BPPT, an ideal WWTP suitable for CPOF is promoted to be considered as one very good alternative which is better applied for all CPOF in Indonesia. The stages and processes are showed in the second figure.Ideal treatment, CPOF wastewaterP. Nugro Rahardjo

100Pemanfaatan Dan Konservasi Sumber Air Dalam Keadaan DaruratThe need of clean water availability is the basic need of human being for living. In case of emergency, the clean water availability is still needed firstly. In this situation, we have to has a practical knowledge on water resource exploration as well as exploitation effectively and efficiently in such away the water utilization are sustainable. The water availability properties such as, quality, quantity, and site are related to the technology for water conservation and exploitation. Basically, the water availability in emergency could be developed based on the hydrological and hydro geological properties of the nearest location. In situ direct water utilization with bad water quality (in case of flooding) could be handled by using tools of water survival kit such as water bag, purification tablet or powder, and purification bottle. The water utilization in short term with limited scale (in case of refugees camp) could be developed by constructing shallow well (dig well or pumping well) if the shallow aquifer are available. The water utilization in medium term could be developed by constructing water conservation and exploitation system such as mini dam, infiltration galleries, spring water conservation, water seepage, and rain water harvesting.sumber air, darurat, hidrologi, hidrogeologi, konservasiSeno Adi
