265Aplikasi Sistem Feul Cell sebagai Energi Ramah Lingkungan di Sektor Transportasi dan PembangkitFuel cell is a device which is purposed to convert chemical energy into electric energy and produce water as side result. Fuel cell technology doesn?t produce emission and doesn?t make noises and also has a high efficiency until 45% in fuel conversion to electricity, and it can be higher until 60% ? 80% if it is co-generation. A fuel processing system converts hydrocarbon or other organic fuels to hydrogen of composition and purity suitable for fuel cell operation. The fuels include petroleum derived liquids, such as naphtha and gasoline, petroleum derived gases, such as methane and propane, and other fuel such as methanol and ethanol. The electrolyte in the center allows only the protons to pass through the membrane to the cathode side of the fuel cell. The electrons cannot pass through this membrane and flow through an external circuit in the form of electric current. 271Pengaruh Waktu Tinggal Terhadap Perpanding Bod Dan Cod Serta Pembentukan Gas Metan (Ch4)Generally, food wastewater contains high organic matter, therefore the exact wastewater treatment is biological process by using Fixed Bed reactor in anaerobic system. In this observation , showed the comparison between BOD and COD, mass balance and the forming of methane gas (CH4) with variation of hydraulic retention time 11 days, 7 days, 5 days and 3 days. 275Pemanasan Global dan Konservasi keanekaragaman HayatiGlobal warming will have a negative impact on biodiversity. In contrast, the increase of population in the world has an effect to the need of biological resources for food, industry, medicine, etc. Human activities in several sectors, such as energy, forestry, agriculture, husbandry, and waste create a greenhouse effect. Greenhouse effects are due to a rise of greenhouse gases, such as CO2 (carbon dioxide), CH4 (methane), N2O (nitrogen dioxide), PFCS (perfluorocarbon), HFCS (hydrofluoro-carbon), SF6 (sulfurhexafluoride), and H2O (water vapor). Studies suggest that climate change may also cause the melting of polar ice- caps, rising sea levels, and a shift of season. Global climate change wiil also have a wide range of effects on human health, including a risk of infectious disease epidemics. Therefore, climate change is a seriously threat for the world and it is necessary to have a global agreement to combat the threat. In 2005, Kyoto Protocol was agreed and The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is a the Kyoto Protocol?s mechanism aimed at helping industrialized countries meet their greenhouse gas reduction targets. One of the natural resource at Gorontalo Province that support society live is water resource. Because of the condition of natural, most of people in Gorontalo Province live as farmer and fisherman. On the other side this new province also has been developing many infrastructures and basic tools for irrigation and watering such as water channel, water dam, irrigation network, etc. The recording process of water resource assets that belong to this new province has been done every year by local government through the Gorontalo Province Water Resources Management Department.
