Twice field works to Wawonii Island was carried out in 2003 and 2004, in order to collect data on utilition of medicinal plants by local people. Two villages of Wawonii district, which occupied by Wawonii tribe, were selected as study sites. Based on to that study 73 species plants, which uses by local people as traditional medicine and after having child were recorded. Similar to order inland areas of Indonesia, forest clearenses and process of modernization was also occurred in this study area. Consequense the effect of those activities expected will be affect in lost of local knowledge and destruction of natural pesources. For that reason a study on utilizes of medicinal palnt by local people is needed.

224Kajian Pendahuluan Kelayakan Penerapan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah Domestik Secara Komunal?A preliminary assessment of an application of sewerage system with Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) and Down flow Hanging Sponge (DHS) technology was conducted in North Bogor. The Problem which often emerge in management of domestic wastewater is the limited land area and fund to built and operate a wastewater treatment facility. To overcome such problem, it is needed to develop a cheap wastewater treatment technology with high efficiency, easy to operate and also should be compact. The combination technology of UASB and DHS is proposed as an economic wastewater treatment which easy to handling. Therefore, to make sure that the technology is feasible or not to be built in North Bogor, there is need the preliminary assessment. 225Kajian Penelolaan Sumber Daya Air untuk Aplikasi konsep Ecopark pada Taman Kota yang Berukuran BesarEnvironmental problems which happen in Jakarta metropolitan city, have already come into a very critical condition. All surface water, such as rivers, swamps and small lakes, have extremely been continuing polluted. Even ground water, not only the quality is getting worse, but also the quantity is decreasing. Otherwise many swamps and small lakes have been changing into a domestic settlement or commercial estate. One of few alternatives to cope with the problems is to manage all gardens in Jakarta by applying a new concept ?Ecopark? which makes an optimizing the ecological function of a park. The concept is based on the aim to make a friendly garden which is a part of green open space. Through this application, especially for big gardens with the area 5.000m2 - 10.000m2, the water resource potential will increase and its conservation will be continuously guaranteed. Garden Cornel Simanjuntak dan Utama Raya are the two examples of big city gardens which have not been managed yet by the concept Ecopark. This activity explained how the two gardens have to be properly managed by the concept. 226Kajian Penerapan Prinsip Produksi Bersih Pada Proses Manufaktur Pipa ApungManufacture process of floating hose is a rubber technical commodity process, which has potencies to pollute the environment. Two types of waste, which are produced from the purification process and rubber latex process, are liquid and solid waste. Beside those waste, the component developing process, which uses several chemical agents, also has negative impacts to the human who has intensive contacts with those chemicals. Calendering and vulcanisation process are also produce air pollutants, especially the contaminated air from some harmful parameters. Considering that floating hose product will be used by oil companies with very high technical specification, it is necessary to prepare an environmental friendly material and construction technic. Those eco-efficiency planning should be arranged since the beginning, from the using of energy and water resources until waste management and disposal and good house keeping. This research has done thought pilot plant in Pondok Pesantren Tebu Ireng Jombang East Java. The product of the biogas pilot plant are compost and methane gas. The using of these products has been researched to the community. The community survey using descriptive methods, has a result that 79.5 % of the respondens said they intend to use composts for their plantation. 230Kajian Status Kualitas Perairan Jangari Cirata Dan Kelayakannya Untuk Daerah Wisata AirJangari is an area in Cirata reservoir that was developed for tourism area. Lately, in this area have been developed many cages for fish culture that produce organic waste in huge number. This research was conducted to know the status and dynamics of water quality in Jangari that receive organic waste in huge number.The research revealed that Jangari water body could be cited as an eutrophic water body. This conclusion was due to (i)-the concentrations of phosphorus was always higher than 0,016 mg?l-1P and nitrogen total was always higher than 0,711 mg?l-1N; (ii)-the density of fitoplankton in 25 cm depth was between 36.590?103 and 40.710?103 ind?l?1; whereas in 150 cm depth was between 29.620?103 and 36.370?103 ind?l?1. This phytoplankton community was dominated by Cyanophyta (70,9%-78,2%), especially. Microcystis sp and Oscillatoria sp. (iii)-the vanishing point of secchi disc was always smaller than 71 cm. During the research zooplankton was dominated by copepoda, cladocera and rotifera with density fluctuate between 34-394 ind?l?1. 231Kajian Status Waduk Tirta Shinta dan Kelayakannya untuk Industri Ethanol di Kotabumi Lampung UtaraPT. Medco Ethanol Lampung has been constructed factory for cassava and mollase processing in order to product Rectified-Ethanol at Talang Jali Village, Kotabumi North Lampung. The estimation of capacity production is around 190.000 liter per day. Maximum necessity of fresh water for factory operasional is about 8.507 m3/hari. For the measurement depth and water volume Tirta Shinta Reservoir get the volume is about 3.155.434 m3 with the avarage depth for 1 ? 6 meter, while the discharge of water at outflow for agricultural is about 138.270 m3 per day at rainy season. If the water from Tirta Shinta reservoir use for main factory, and the total capacity reservoir only used 4.3 %, if nothing flow from river because dry season, and now Tirta Shinta reservoir can be supply only 17.7 month during dry season. Based on the environmental aspect, if better, a fresh water supply for ethanol factory from river has a big rate of flow. 234Kajian Teknologi Pengolahan Air Limbah Rumah Sakit Dan Sni TerkaitThe study of hospital waste water treatment technology, with choice one of waste water treatment technology this is activated sludge process, which already common use related to the National Standard of Indonesia (SNI) about environment, especially waste water, and more specifically is activated sludge. These snis are used to compliment of testing from technology of hospital waste water treatment. There for, it is need to be more reinforce the application of SNI so that each the technical regulation don?t want to detail the technical aspect it self. This because to revise the legal regulation is not easy, meanwhile the SNI can be revised anytime we need. We need to continue and to increase cooperation (MOU) between the Ministry of Environment and the National Accreditation Committee (KAN), about the joint assessment accreditation of environment parameters quality laboratory. The good application of technology and standard will have a good impacts for the growth of economic environment equipments industry. From the hospital waste water samples in Jakarta has showed that the chemical consentrate pollution very fluctuated, e.g., BOD 31,52 - 675,33 mg/l, ammoniac 10,79 - 158,73 mg/l, detergent (MBAS) 1,66 - 9,79 mg/l. 235Kajian Untuk Aplikasi Konsep ECO Park Pada Taman Kota Yang Berukuran Sedang di DKI JakartaBecause of too many environmental problems have already been continuing in Jakarta, the local government of Province DKI Jakarta is intensively doing huge environmental programs in order to cope with the problems. One of the programs is the application of concept ?Ecopark? in managing all of the cityparks or gardens in Jakarta. A lot of citygardens in Jakarta have not correctly been managed by the concept, especially gardens which are classified into medium size park. The aim of this specific program is to optimize the environmental function of all gardens in the field of water resource management, such as increasing the efficiency in water resource exploitation, conservation of the water resource by rain harvesting and using of treated domestical wastewater. Content of the assessment in this paper focused on three citygardens, i.e Cisanggiri, Kelapa Cengkir Barat and Gandaria V Garden.
