104Identifikasi Kerusakan tumbuhan di Kebun raya Bali oleh BenaluThe mistletoes of Dendrophthoe pentandra, Helixanthera cylindrica, Scurrula parasitica and Scurrula atropurpurea growing on several plants collection in Bali Botanical Gardens. The research was carried out in June 2007 found about 114 branches/twigs of 105 treee collections had been attacked by several mistletoes. The attacked trees consisted of 51 species belong to 24 genera. The tree collections of genus Syzygium, Familie Moraceae were the most frequent tree species being attacked by the mistletoes. Dendrophthoe pentandra was the most frequent mistletoe attacking the botanic gardens plant collections and caused the biggest damaging effect. Most of them still rely on groundwater, spring, river and rain. In the big and medium cities the level of water services higher between 40 ? 50 and 20 - 30% respectively, but in rural still very low. Recently many source of water is contaminated by domestic, industry, and agricultur waste due to lack of attention of water users to environment. Beside, some dense populated areas with low sanitation fasility make many shalow well contaminated by E.coli. For improving rural water services, It needs government policy that encourage bigger role of rural comunity to develop their ability and organization that maintain and protect source, process, production and distribution of water. Information of Simple Water Treatment Technology is an important that must be distributed to people who live in village or remote areas, in order to improve their knowledge. The level of environmental quality is indicated by how much the pollutants enter into and stay in it, that is whether they are still below or already above the regulated pollutants standard. In knowing pollutant concentration in the environment, pollutant measurement must be done by employing appropriate instrument and using qualified/ certified operator. Therefore, the role of environmental laboratory is crucial in preparing instrumentation, operator, as well as standard operating procedure (SOP) in order for sampling and analysis of pollutants to work properly and result qualified data. This type of laboratory is strongly determined by how the laboratory is operated with the standard mechanism, called good laboratory practice (GLP). GLP will be met by the laboratory that owns the current state of the art instrumentation, capability and experience of the operator/analyst in conducting sampling and analysis, availability of SOP, capability to control the quality (Quality Control) and to assure the quality (Quality Assurance) of its work and the results. Some of laboratory in Indonesia has received certification from National Committee on Acreditation (KAN). However, the granted certification from the KAN must be first checked whether it is for all or part of the laboratory capabilities. Second, whether during the analysis it is already checked the accuracy and preciseness of the instrument employed. Unlike in developed countries, this type of such check has not so far been done in Indonesia. In term of Quality Assurance, the institution that grants the laboratory certification, for example KAN in Indonesia, will send blind samples to targeted laboratory to analyze how much the concentration of certain pollutants detected by this laboratory. Third, whether the operators have strongly followed the existing SOP. Thus, in order to operate laboratory in a right procedure and accuracy, a lot of work must be done carefully in order to result a qualified data. 109Pemanfaatan Air Tanah JakartaThe Jakarta groundwater is one of the water resources in which people rely on it in great deal. With the limitation of the Water Supply Company to serve its user, groundwater becomes very valuable and dependable resource. The magnitude of extraction reaches out above it?s save yield. In the year of 2002 about 1230 to 1590 millions cubic meters water were accumulated from precipitation. Approximately of 1027 million cubic meters each year about to be consumed by the people of Jakarta. The groundwater consumption tend to increase while the land capability to absorb groundwater decreasing as the land development expanding. Hidrologically the hydraulic conductivity of the Jakarta groundwater aquifer system is very low, so that the groundwater flowrate from the south region of Jakarta basin is also low. With the magnitude of extraction?s very havily, the cone of depression incident has been occurring in the north Jakarta region. Along with this incident, a land subsidence was also occurring in the neighboring area. To overcome these problems, the assessment of the artificial recharge to the Jakarta aquifer particularly at the critical locations has been done. Schemes of the artificial recharges were simulated. 115Dinamika Perubahan temperatur dan Reduksi Volume Limbah dalam Proses PengomposanThe goal of this research is to study the dynamics changing of temperature, weight and volume of wastes during composting process in Cakung Slaughterhouse. The composting process was done using windrow system for 65 days. Windrow was turned mechanically using compost turning machine once a week. Composition of input wastes was calculated based on its volume and specific weight. Regularly, windrows were measured of their volume, weight and temperature. The composting shows that weight and volume reduction was exponentially done in the two of the first weeks. The temperature also exponentially increased in that time. Those indicated that the increasing of metabolisms and development of microbiology during composting process. Weight and volume reduction reached about 80 percent, and their temperature reached above 55oC during first weeks. 118pengaruh Ozonusasi Terhadap Dosis Koagulan Pada Perusahaan Air Minum di Redland, AustraliaThe experiments were conducted in the Evironmental Engineering laboratory, Griffith University, Brisbane, Australiaon sampels provided by Redland Shire Cauncil Waterworks.The resault showed that ozonation has positive effect towards alum dosages as a coagulant. Ozone dosages were 2.86 ppm, 6.25 ppm, and 11.22 ppm, while alum dosages were 5 ppm, 10 ppm, and 15 ppm. Ca(OH)2 was utilized as pH regulaator with the range of 4 ppm - 12 ppm. Effects of ozonation on coagulant dosages were measured by color level expressed in Pt- Co units. 119Uji Penyisihan Kadmium (Cd) dari Pasir TerkontaminThe experiment is trying to apply an alternatif method in remediation electrokinetic by inserting conductive solution between cathode and treated soil. This is purposed in keeping the pH in low condition and preventing the precipitation of heavy metals in the soil adjacent to the cathode that often happen in the previous electrokinetic methods. Concentration of Cd (C0), period (t), concentration of conductive solution were selected as parameters, with artificially contaminated sand. The experiment with sand/ soil C0 = 100 ppm gave lower efficiency at 15,98% when it compares with C0 = 400ppm in the same condition and 24 hours period at 44,18%. Concentration of KCl also influenced the performance of system which was shown by the increasing in removal efficiency as refer to the previous experiment. Teoritically as pH of soil decreases the mobility of Cd is increases. This is due to Cd desorption is higher in the low pH. 120Evaluasi Kondisi Lingkungan Perairan Estuaria Teluk Klabat, Bangka Pada Musim TimurThe environmental situation of the estuarial ecosystem Teluk Klabat that is located at the northwestern coastal area of Bangka was evaluated on the basis of the physical, chemical and biological data derived from direct in-situ field survey during the southeast monsoon (dry season). The objective of this study is to understand the environmental characteristics and water quality status of the Teluk Klabat to support fisheries development within this area. The result shows that the sedimentation process at theTeluk Klabat has been ocurred excessively and it caused decreasing of the bathymetry reached only 1 m that is found almost in a whole of the coast line area at the inner side of the Teluk Klabat and it extended up to more than 2.5 km from that coast line. More over, the terrestrial environment seem to have strong effect on the degradation of the water quality at the Teluk Klabat that is shown by high concentration of the nutrient (nitrate, phosphate, silicate) and heavy metal such as Pb and Cd. While chlorophyll-a concentration was also high.
